    Micromax Canvas Devices Kitkat Update to Roll out this July - 2014 Latest Official news

    Recenty iGyaan Editor Mr.Bharat Nagpal  made an interview with Chief Marketing Director - Mr.Shubhodip Pal of Micromax. In this 30 Min Chat Session the Editor asked many doubts regarding the Micromax Operations in India Including the Lack of Service Center.



    Updates :

    In the Interview Editor Bharat asked about the Kitkat Updates for their canvas Devices where the CMO replied that the updates will be rolled out this July to most of the Handsets which they have revealed latestly.The CMO accepted that they were lagging in terms of Updates but will be soon solved most of the Handsets will be Updated soon.

    As it was the first voice from official of Micromax the Kitkat Update for Canvas Devices was now a confirmed news.

    Lacking in Service :

    The editor also made a query to the CMO..Why Micromax Was Lacking in service behind many brands..?

    The CMO truly accepted that it was their management Fault and were ready to change their service methods.They have planned a method Called PROMISE.  In association with accenture they had planned to refurbish their Service capabilities.Within Six Months they will change their Way in Services.

        Agreed. Even xolo q1010 which sports the same hardware as canvas 2.2 received a kitkat update. Micromax is going down the hill and that too at an astonishing pace.

      today is 19th of july
      and still no sign of update
      i can bet that there will no such update will going to come out
      According to list I think till a350 got the update. Now if they are going to roll out update for another mobile, they will be canvas knight, canvas turbo and canvas 4. And it is also going to take lot of time. Forget about update for other mobile.

      I am going to sell my magnus now I am loosing patience. July is end. I am waiting for an update since January 2014.
      Now this is too much
      Never going to buy mmx mobile again and also I will make people aware that how they treat with their old customer

      I'll wait till 31st July and sell my Micromax Canvas 2.2 and buy xolo q1010 or Xiaomi. The sole reason being the lack of updates from Micromax. I'm sure there are many others like me.

      2 more companies are in competition now, gionee, xiomi etc.
      but Micromax doesn't seems to be listening...

      they are satisfied with what they had got till now and seems that they don't want to compete to provide best customer service and responding to their requirements.

        Hi Purvi,there is no official kitkat update but a Jellybean update (v5 mmx_21 flasher user) available released a month ago.Go to nearest service center and ask them to update. Or you can use custom ROMs with Kitkat version check here.. http://www.micromaxtalkies.in/2014/10/list-of-custom-roms-for-micromax-canvas.html

      I'm a Canvas A250 customer still waiting for a KIT KAT upgrade where as the world is moving towards 5. Micromax is or already lost credibility for the existing customers. I should prefer a better brand soon like many other customers. Its disgusting.

      I like Micromax as they provide quality Phones at Low Price additionally they are an Indian Company. MM sales also have gone drastically in the last few years and they have a very good share in Indian market. They need to provide the updates without which they will loose credibility and market share.
